Tutorial and Dinner for Two!

Having received numerous requests for information on the little table and chair set I posted on FB, I decided to do this mini tutorial! Just let me know if you have any questions!
I purchased this set at IKEA...a project planned for my little grandson's 2nd birthday.
Next a stop at Home Depot for some primer and paint.....I chose a pretty aqua color thinking it would look striking outdoors with all the green foliage.

I primed the set then allowed to dry for a few hours.

I then painted it with a generous coating of the aqua and let it set overnight.

I then covered the entire table with a Crackle Kit purchased from Micheal's Arts and Craft letting it dry for several hours. (Directions state to wait 24 hours for the crackle to dry....but being impatient, lol, I waited 3 hours and had no problems moving to the next step)

Then using the stain that comes with the crackle kit and a moist sponge, I covered the entire table hitting some spots with a little heavier coating for a more uneven look. I purposely chose not to use the crackle on the chairs, instead opting to brush the chairs with the stained sponge applying random swipe marks.
And Voila!!!!

And finally........Dinner for Two! :)

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day! ♥
